We are looking for self driven individuals who are entrepreneurial in nature and are open to join start up organizations. We, at IMBS, offer clients assistance in their  Operations through
provision of Point Applications, Tools and Analysis. IMBS tries to get to the client a number of tried and tested tools and applications that would be otherwise be lost in the clutter. Our focus is Operations and hence includes areas such as Decision Support Systems in Operations such as Forecasting, Production Planning, Logistic Planning, Production Scheduling, Inventory Management etc, Analytics in the area of Operations such as Delivery Analytics, Sales Analytics Inventory Analytics. In addition, we are also looking to develop specific tools in the area of Healthcare that would allow automation and improve efficiency in the hospitals.

IMBS has been started by a couple of IIMA graduates with interest in the Operations space.
IMBS has tie ups with different product companies such as IGSA and Planvisage, both of
which provide point solutions to customers.

Role definition

The following would be the Role Definition to the best that can defined given that this is startup.

Business Process Translation

  • The role would require the candidate to understand the client requirements
    and ability to translate the same into a relevant tool that would help automate the process and make it more efficient.
  • The role would require the candidate to understand the products that IMBS would implement/use and apply the same in a client situation.

Project Management

  • The role would require the candidate to coordinate with Partners to ensure that the project is managed and completed on time and quality.
  • The role would require the candidate to help translate customers’ business need to a functional specification for the tool so that the same can be implemented in the client site.

Business Development

  • The role would require the candidate to pursue new client opportunities for existing tools (DSS and Analytics).
  • The role would also require the candidate to translate other functional requirements into tools to build or partner with.

Candidate Profile

The profile of the candidate we are seeking is as follows:

  1. The Candidate should be have about 6-8 years of experience in the area of operations.
  2. The Candidate should be conversant with techniques such as Linear Programming etc.
  3. The Candidate should have good communication, analytical and presentation skills
  4. The Candidate having an experience in Advanced Excel/SQL/VBA for Excel/LP Solve/GAMS would have an edge.
  5. The Candidate should be self starter and have the ability to work in an unstructured,
    start up environment
  6. While a person from Consulting background could be useful, candidates with Manufacturing / Supply Chain background are also welcome
