Description
VRP offers a unified platform for all logistics requirements across various customer categories. In Manufacturing, VRP Plans the routes from Suppliers to Factory to Warehouses to Distributors. In Retail, VRP plans Last Mile Delivery to End Customer (B2B/ B2C) from Warehouse / Store to Retailer or from Store to Customer. VRP can also be used for Optimal Network design and Fleet Sizing.
VRP is used to be in conjunction with Allocation Planning [SCAP] and Replenishment Planning [DRP]
VRP creates Intelligent Load Planning to streamline Delivery management, improve the overall visibility and reduce cost and ensure great customer satisfaction. Route Planning includes planning daily dispatches dynamically to achieve best vehicle capacity utilisation across tonnage and volume, optimal route considering various business constraints.
VRP uses combination of intelligent planning algorithms integrated with Google maps to allow for consolidation of demand in a geographic zone and create clusters. The cluster demands is then fed to a route planning algorithm that calculates the best route as well as the best vehicle to be selected. In addition, VRP also provides TMS functionality to facilitate (ASN, Packing Slips, e-pod, GPS tracking, Telematics), billing automation, control tower monitoring and integration with backend ERP/Other systems.
